ACE/TAO communication with WinCC

Steel Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I used commuication for LEVER2 process in my control project with middleware of ACE/TAO, but I don't know how to communication with WinCC, my envirement is VC++.net 2005, I checked SIEMENS level2 project of PLTCM, SIEMENS used ACE/TAO with some special SIEMENS subsys and must under SIEMENS WIBU-KEY, SIEMENS looks like to use some WinCC ODK files, just there are HMI_read and HMI_write some special function. I don't know how to make new communication with standard ACE/TAO for WinCC? can you help me

Well, Siemens used ACE/TAO for facilitating CORBA communications between PLCs and other systems. They have a framework (I forgot the name of this framework) which helps in converting TCP/IP telegrams into CORBA calls or database calls or vice versaor any of the combination. This frameworkcontains libraries for all possible application of communication including byte swapping etc. To use this framework you need WIBU-KEY and you have to pay for various licensing costs.Ifyou areplanning a complete new developmentusinga CORBA ORB like TAO or Ominiorb,you have to work fromground up.With PLC communication you can do it by configuring telegrams from the PLC side. Butwith WinCC it does not make sense to have CORBA communication or TCPIP telegrams. It is better to use database communication. Let me know what exactly you are planning for. Steel Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	At WinCC Server, Siemens use one dll file winccclient.dll, I guest this must be used "simens subsys" aim-tool makethis file, but I can notchange this rules, I must use under this rule and frame,I want to use freeACE/TAO communication with WinCC. (the below is nothing,only comment I worked with SIEMENS long time,but there are lot of important lib and dll without source code, I only canwork those Level2 commissioning under siemens frame, SIrollPL, and Serm, and SIEMENS corba,I really want to know how they do it. 8years ago, in one plant, those Level2 programing is running on Compag VMS system, I started to commissioning, in those years, SIEMENS change operating system, but source code still same, only frame changed to CORBA subsys.)
