you cannot use Timer or something else in HMI. This are tasks for PLC programming.

in PLC its easy to use a switch-on-delay or a timer.

Thanks Murof, I taught as much that i might need to make use of TON timer. But one question more, in a situation whereby i need to run 20 different machines in automatic, if i am to use TON timer, then i will be using 20 different timers. That's quite a lot of timers just to set delay time for the machine to run in auto mode and i can't use one timer for two machines..(i think) Please, any other idea on how to reduce the number of TON timers and at the same time i will achieve my automation task??? .Thanks in advanvce.

20 timers is not actually some great amount of timers. Even if you are using S7-1200 controller of any kind this should not be significant performance hit regarding either code/work memory or cycle time whatsoever.
