Hi experts,

I am using a WinCC Professional (TIA Portal V14 SP1) together with a S7-1500 PLC. I got a requirement from the customer to use a single acknowledgment for all the alarms, apart from those that are already gone. The HMI gets a trigger bit and visualises the alarm and it's state, i.e. active or gone. If there are several gone alarms, the user should be able to acknowledge them all with a single button click (external button). There should also be possible for him to acknowledge the active alarms, but only those that were first selected, i.e. single acknowledgment.

I set up all alarms with a single acknowledgment option. Single acknowledgment of the alarm selected is easy, but I do not know how can I acknowledge all alarms that are gone (group acknowledment). I thought of using a GMsgFunction(), but I do not quite know how to get the alarm state and execute the acknowledgment accordingly.

Did anyone had something like that before or know how can I solve this problem?

No scripts needed.

Define byte or word to acknowledge alarms, select a bit: 

go to : "HMI alarms" (in project list under HMI) / alarm groups  / tags / acknowledge tag / 

add "reset / acknowledge tag" here and select the bit.

Make a button.

Go to button "properties".

"Click events"

add function from list.

Use function list to:

"set bit in tag"  on left mouse button press 

and

"reset bit in tag"  on left mouse button release

Select the tag and bit from the group acknowledge above.

Now your button will acknowledge a group of alarms with one bit.
