I'm looking for a way to save historical data on a network location but have my comfort panel create a new file every day by adding the current date in the filename. Preferably .csv format

Maybe there is an other way to do this using the s7-1214C I'm using instead of my comfort panel, but i haven't found one yet.

maybe I have an alternative for you called PC Based Solution. Here you can use an Siemens PC (IPC) with an SPS (Software Controller) and HMI at one PC. On the PC you can Install a Database. And with the SoftwareController you can log your historical data into the Database. 109479140

At the moment I am using the historical data on the comfort panel and I write it on an SD card, this is now a circular log. I have found the manual on how to write this log on a network location so I expect no problems there.

my actual question is: I want to create a new log file every day so the old data won't be overwritten.

I would also like to add the current date to every new logfile that is created.
