I have a simatic net on my pc and works well in a scada system, now my network interface card is broken and I want to change it.

what is the rquired steps to define the new card and set it as a new interface in simatic net?

Part of the answer really depends on: how did you make the configuration (Step7 5.5, TIA Portal Step7?).

First, is you, of course, change the existing the netcards address to a different subnet than the existing one.

Then you add the new netcard and set this to the ip address that you had before.

If you do this, it may just work, depending if your configuration/communicaton requires MAC addressing or not.

But I have already make what you say, change the ip address for the new card and it dowsnot operate the scada pc station.

Which SCADA System do you use? (WinCC Classic or TIA portal Or other brand)?

So you use PC Station configuration in order with your Networkcard and SCADA System?

-> IN Use of WinCC V7.X and without Station Configuration you only have to set the correct Access Point in the PGPC Settings in the PC Control Panel.

But If you give us a littel Bit more Information we should be able to give more specific answers.

We use "promotic v7" scada system, and we take a ghost from the original pc and apply it to a new pc. The new one start the scada successfully but gives communication error,. We think that this  error because the new LAN card.

NB: Please try not to make multiple questions on the same issue. This makes helpful people start from scratch trying to make suggestions when they have already been suggested (without knowing if it was followed)...

Also, as Murof says... give all necessary information about your setup please, as was also asked for in one of the other threads...

How does this "promotic v7" scada system work together with the Siamtc Net configuration ?

If you use SIemens HMIs then you also have to set the PGPC Settings in Windows Control Panel and if you use a Station Configuration then you have to set it to an internal Setting. If you do not use this then you have to set the virtual Access Point to a Hardware access Point.

I Would contact the Company of the Promotic V7 Scada System. they should know how to set up their Software.
