This is probably simple but I havn't been able to figure out how to accomplish this task. I usually work with S7-400 CPU's but for this application we are mirroring an S7-400 application with an S7-300 CPU for redundancy and emergency control. However, I need SFB34 to be used but I cannot load this to the CPU. Should I not be able to download this the same as a regular block onto the MMC or do I need to have direct access to the MCC via a PG? The documentation states that SFB34 is available for S7-300 CPU's but this willnot access it. Thanks. |

Hello, According to the Instuction list for S7-300 PLC's the SFB 34 is not supported by the S7-300. S7-300 Instruction List CPU 31xC, CPU 31x, IM 151-7 CPU, IM 151-8 CPU, IM 154-8 CPU, BM 147-1 CPU, BM 147-2 CPU Please check 136 and 137. And in the following FAQ that's also mentioned in the first table: What should you watch out for when using the alarm numbering procedure? |
Best regards, |

Thanks, I was referencing the System Software for S7-300/400 System and Standard Functionsdocument; I guess that had all of the listings but the document you referenced had the specifics. I guess this rules out using any form of CEMAT on a S7-300 CPU because every FB references SFB34. For my application I do not need SFB34 for anything but it is required so I can download the CEMAT function blocks that are beingmirrored on the S7-400 CPU (I don't need to display alarms). I'm assuming not, but is there anyway to ignore this error or bypass it? |
