Additional field devices - switch - why only one port?

AlexK Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Hello for everybody! I'm use Simatic Manager to create Profinet project and download them to the CP1616 profinet card. In my projects there is Phoenix Contact Ethernet switch with 16 ports. When i instal his XML file in Simatic and add the device to the Ethernet line. After compile project, in the "PROFINET IO Topology" i could see my switch, but it is have only one port! Why? Best regards, Alex

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I am not sure, may you provide this GSDXML file? Maybe it is worth to check how many ports will be provided by the Phoenix Switch. Maybe the GSD handles the Switch ports as channels... this would have to be checked. Is the Switch PNO certified? Best regards J_Bell

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, are you aware that this GSDML file you provided is about a deviceprofile V 1.0? The current profile is V 2.2. The Ports you mentioned seem to be mapped to theI/O of the device itself. If I add the device to my PROFINET IO network I see two bytes for the management agent and additional 16 Bytes of input for the Ports. Maybe this is what you look for.
