However, you can use some creativity to make a switch animate and have a multi-positional switch if you create logic to go with the switch. Also, in the global library, my basic portal wincc shows many graphics that are suitable for displaying many other switches and assign them to the buttons/switches instead of using the default graphics. For multi-position switches, as crazy as it sounds, you could have a bunch of invisible arrows that only appear when the switch position matches the direction that arrow points. Each touch of the button increments a counter. The counter can either set a bit-field or be used to directly show whether an arrow shows up or not. Yes, it is very crazy and much simpler to do with rotation indexing in wincc flex advanced, but, it does allow basic panels to do much more than we might at first think are the limitations.
