The cpu 315-2DP have only 128 output bytes and 128 input bytes, physical addresses.... I need of 64 bytes to virtual address, for to connect four cards Profibus (for Robot) for to exchange some virtual signals, whitout using the physical I/O.... How can i do? Thank you Roby

I have a GSD file for comunication with robot....now, i put this address I/O: from 148.0 to 163.0 for infut and output...BUT THIS I/O ARE PHYSYCAL!! I MUST USE VIRTUAL I/O!! Using this Module I/O-Data could be stored within an DB for example. But you have to check wether your slaves will work as DPV0-Slaves or not. This CP doesn't support DPV1. Good luck Sabine

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Roby, I must admit... I have no clue what your problem is. First of all, does your robot provide these 64 Bytes of input and output data a data filed? If not, you will not be able to access it by DP anyway. As far as I see it in your Screenshot you try to use singe input and output words to create these fields, does the GSD file not provide adequate profiles? Additionally I also wonder why you insist on the data area below 256 Byte. Do you want to access this data by BOOLEAN types? Reading or writing Words in peripheral areas is no big deal. You use PIW or PQW. To tell you the truth I do not know if your Robot provides such I/O Areas. Is it possible that the transfer of the by you mentioned data area is made by Datasets? May you tell us which Robot and GSD you use? Best regards J_Bell

I use 16 bytes of input and 16 bytes of output I used the PEB for read to Robots with GSD file and PAB for write... with the move instruction, i have transfered the bit E and A in a DB and i use the bit of the DB, for read and write..... Is all OK thank you!! Roby
