Adobe Printer as Report Recorder

ChessMaster Posts: 84 Rating: (1)	Hi everybody I want use adobe printer to print log files such as alarm report and tag logging report every day and every hour. But when i did this job i saw the file name of PDF is a 8 digits number. I want to change this name to that day and that hour. I want to change the name of this file via WINCC script. Thank you for the help

ChessMaster Posts: 84 Rating: (1)	Hi everybody I want to use PDF virtual printer for saving report on hard disk every hour and every day. I did it with writing a c script in global script and this script run at my desired time and PDF report instead of paper of printer will be created but i want to change name of this Adobe PDF file according to time and date that it has been created. For example i want to change the name of that file to : 2007-6-6-13PM.pdf How can i do that ? Actually i am looking for a script to change the name of a file in specific folder just when it will be created.

ChessMaster Posts: 84 Rating: (1)	I don't know exactly in which order its name will be created but i know it is 10 digit number that will be increase because of time and day. Sample of the name is 1193041844_Average12AM.pdf that secound part of the file name is my print layout name.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, From what I gather your system already gerenates a file, with a name... you'll need to find this file and rename it, right? Well... you know the name you want it to have... If your system always generates a file with the same name, then you'll just need to check whether that file exists. e.g. FileExists method: object.FileExists(filespec) then rename it. I found this function to rename a file: Name oldpathname As newpathname then you'd delete the file your system created first, so you wouldn't have duplicate files. object.DeleteFile filespec[, force] Best regards, Danielle
