"AF" control bit in ISTACK

jebril Posts: 27 Rating: (1)	Dear All, I have a problem with one S5-PLC (CPU 95U) inside a spooler machine. When the operator pushs the start button the machine is not responding and there is no active outputs. I checked the ISTACK online and found the "AF: Interrupt enabled" control bit is marked (see attached pic). I performed an overall reset for the CPU and then copyed the program from the EPROM to the CPU. It didn't help, the machine is stopping and the "AF" bit is still marked. It is only a status bit indicating that Interrupts are enabled. Which is not a fault condition. When you say, "Machine is Stopping" , is your CPU in STOP or RUN ? If the CPU is in STOP Mode then press "F7 - Continue" to Display the next screen "Interrupt Stack" which displays the caus of interrupt ( WHy CPU went to STOP Mode ) If the CPU is still in run, then Please check your I/O signals for any sensor faults / I/O module faults ( If your program was working earlier with the same hardware ).
