In my case AK 1703 ACP is Profibus DP Master and CPU314-DP slave. Sycon software for Profibus says that S7-300 isn't configured properly like slave. how canI do this? Thank You in advance

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 3/17/2025 Posts: 12344 Rating: (2707)	Hello valparaiso; This is a situation similar to connecting a S7 CPU as a DP-slave to a S7 DP-master in a different project. Look at the following FAQ and follow the instructions to setup the CPU as a DP-slave: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/19449428 Then configure the data exchange areas in the slave as required. As a test, use the data exchange as proposed in the example, if you wish. Download the HWConfig to the S7-314-2DP. Import the gsd file for the S7-314-2DP in Sycon (the gsd file is found in a link provided in the FAQ). Insert the S7-314-2DP slave in the Sycon Profibus network, and set up the data exchange based on the areas selected in the slave, but in reverse (a Input areain the slave configurationbecomes an output from the master, the size must remain the same). Again as a test use the data exchange proposed in the FAQ for the master. Download the Sycon configuration to your DP-master. Connect the master to the slave, and if everything has been configured correctly, you should have communications between the two. If there is a problem, try opening the diagnostic buffer on the slave CPU to see what it doesn'tlike; I believe Sycon han an Online mode that can help diagnose your master too. Transmission rate in the slave was like Master(AK 1703), 1.5 Mb/s. It was necessary to change master speed and for all network, because there was a problem with other slave unit. The new transmission rate in the network is 500Kb/s. My slave CPU 313-2DP is with transmision rate 1.5MB/s and don't have a problem in the first view, after restart CPU and power down also. I reading all signals from slave but i don't have whether If I sent, don't have a problem. Is there a need to preloading in the hardware configuration (slave CPU) with the new transmision rate or working corectly with the 1.5Mb/s? My PC/USB adapter s broken now. thank you in advance

We just set the slave address and protocol. Mike
