Alarm 2001 PLC has not started up - 810D

starstone Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have just been asked to be in-charge in one of the labs at my Institution. Few months ago, battery for one of the CNC turning machines with Sinumerik 810D PLC had empty and also successfully been replaced. However, after the replacement made this machine can't function as usual again with the warning "2001 PLC has not started up " as shown below. We already called few Engineers but all of them claimed that they solve it because the "parameter" of the machine had gone. The worse is, we didn't do any backup(or don't even have any backup) for everything's due to lack of knowledge(since I just a fresh tutor) about the machine. I tried to search at this forum and found that this warning alarm can be dismissed by Clear/RESET the PLC data first, and then restore the NC/PLC achieve to the machine using WINPCIN. (Corretlyme if what I mentioned above are wrong) Now I'm confusing, what is NC/PLC achieve that mentioned? Is it just a file that I can get from SINUTRAIN(that's what we use at here to run the simulation)? Which means I just need to take one functional file and send it over the machine? You first of all you have to confirm ,the back up present in the machine.There are two space where the back will be stores.One is NC card & another one is Archive. Follow the below steps to find the backup is present in the machine. 1] Press Service softkey 2]data IN 3] Series Start up 4] Select NC 5]Press Read Start Up archive 6] Press NC card or Archive in that you can see the File type ARC. If back up present you can load it into System directly by the above steps.

makaveli Posts: 259 Rating: (5)	Hi, In PLC Backup you have all logic of the machine so if I must to explain in simply words that’s basic program that runs your machine IN NC Backup you have all machine parameters, NC programs configuration file. If you don't have backup you have really big problem. Main PLC program you can get from Siemens but for your machine you need change it. For this you need special software STEP 7 and many knowledge and experience. With NC is more easy because you can load default machine parameters but you need change many things. For that you also need experience and knowledge. My advise check documentation, maybe somewhere you have some CD with backup or contact producer of the machine. With regards, makaveli

I'm not so familiar with this machine, and previous person in charge left me lots of manual books but none of it seem useful. From what I see you don't have much expertise in Siemens controllers and I think that it is better to ask some help from the machine manufacturer or else you will have a very bad hardache. starstone Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi, Now I already had the NC and PLC achieve from Manufacturer, but at the time I try to restore both achieves into the machine, I just realize that something was missing. I found that memory card(look like PCMCIA type)slot atthe controller was empty. I also not sure either technician tookit, or it just runs without the memory card. Question here, can I run my machine without the card since the controller should have some build in memory(correct me if I'm wrong)? And can I buy it from the open market, as it looks like using PCMIA type memory card? Please help me to figure out this, so I can get my machine back to the line. Thanks.
