Alarm 7490 in positioning mode

El Josebas Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi guys, I´m new with STARTER configuration software, I have an axis working in positioning mode and it has PROFIsafe extended functions acitvated too The problem is when I stop the axis due to a FeedHold (SOS) or an ESTOP, every time it happens alarm 7490 appears and I have to restart my cycle etc.. I guess that I have to reset Jog or positioning commands before setting OFF1, OFF2 or OFF3 to zero but i don't know what is the correct order exactly. Even having PROFIsafe extended functions do I have to put a zero i.e in OFF3 of my standard telegram? I mean, SS1 brakes the axis with the OFF3 ramp-down time right? Is it necessary to turn it off in my telegram? Thanks in Advance. El Josebas.

Thanks for your answer, I don't know what do you mean, is it normal? Because I would like to continue a cycle from a STOP D without acknowledge any fault in STARTER, I mean, just reset the safety elements and the cycle should starts automaticaly from the point it stopped. Safety for example has a higher priority than EPOS and will interrupt it. That means you will get a 7490. What you can do is use the Safety Function SS1E. With selection of SS1E a safe timer is started, the control priority stays at the controller. Once the timer has expired, STO is activated. This gives you time to stop the axis by yourself as no OFF3 is triggered, preventing the 7490.
