I am using Simatic HMI KTP900 BASIC panel (6AV2123-2JB03-0AX0). i have configured an alarm view with Alarm Buffer in Display (software used is TIAPortal V16). my question is, will this alarms in alarm buffer be remains stored even after power recycle of the HMI device. if yes then for how much time or the numbers of alarms it can store ?

You can Keep 256 only Alarms for the Buffer , it is not a time.

it is better to use a USB for more alarm logging time

Now my question is that if my alarm buffer have total 100 alarms list and suddenly my device gets powered off (due to power failure) and then start again after 5 days then what will be the status of alarm buffer ? will I be able to see those 100 alarms after power recycle or not. in this case i am not any USB device.

As per my understanding after your reply, there is facility of retaining the alarm buffer list even after the power recycle too. now can you tell me how this HMI devise stores this alarm buffer list even there is no any backup battery is available in the basic panel. will he stores the alarm in the internal memory ? or anything else. i will be thankful if you explain the method of storing the buffer alarm list.
