I am working on S7-300 with KTP1200 basic DP. I want to manage an alarm log table on HMI. I have made a demo program which is attached. if I trigger bit, it shows it in alarm view table which is correct. 

But I want only one entry only at the time of rising edge not at the time of falling edge. this time it is logging both states ON and OFF.

Please help.

the Alarm log contains both events: coming (rising edge) and going (falling edge). If acknowledgement is required the Alarm log contains also this third event.

If you want to show only active alarms on the HMI, you must not select Alarm log or Alarm buffer, but Current alarm states.

One more thing, in Status Fiend of alarm view, it is showing I for ON and IO for OFF,

can we change this text?

Hello shoaib,

go to Languages & Resources > Project texts. Sort by category and go to category Alarm text. There you find I, IO, ... for each alarm class.

For your information: Here "I" means incoming and "O" means outgoing.

I have set Error\comingtext ON and Error\Goingtext OFF

Now I am getting ON if alarm occurs and ONOFF when alarm is clear

not with standard settings of alarm view. The panel records ON, OFF, ACK for each alarm. Even in the current alarms you can only filter for pending alarms (ON) and unacknowledged alarms (not ACK). Alarm buffer and alarm log show all states.

But you can read the alarm log and write all lines with state OFF to YourAlarmLog.txt and and then select this file as log in an alarm view.
