Hoping that someone may be able to help me with this one, as I'm struggling to find what is wrong.

I'm using TIA v17 update 1.

In my HMIs I have a number of alarms that are 'duplicated' in each HMI, and I am getting the value of a HMI tag from the PLC to display as part of the message, using the PLC tag as Parameter 1 of the alarm.

I can see that the tag value is correct when I'm looking at the HMI in general (where I display a value it's showing the correct value). However, on a few of the HMIs the alarm is generated without the tag value, but on the rest it is shown with?

Has anyone come across this and/or knows how to solve the issue?

Things I've tried so far:

1. Delete all Tags and Alarms, reimport tags first, then alarms.

2. Recreated specific alarms manually.

3. Recompile and redownload the entire HMI.

There just doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for why some do and some do not, and note it's not all alarms on a HMI, but a subset.

First of all, I would recommend using the latest updates. You should (currently) use Update 5 for Engineering, PC Runtime and Unified Comfort Panels.

More data is needed to find the cause. You can try to get some information with TraceViewer.

I'll see what i can do about upgrading to the latest update. I did check the release notes to see if anything was mentioned about this issue, but couldn't see anything.

I'll have a look at setting up the TraceViewer on the system and report back any findings.
