Alarm time stamping problem

Ganesan Posts: 48 Rating: (1)	Dear All, I have a WinCC system used with a gateway to monitor the SIPROTEC relay statuses. The gateway, and the PCare time synchronised with a GPS. The came in, went out and acknowledged alarms are configured for different colors. I have a peculiar problem in the alarm list.The "came in" and " went out" alarms show the GPS time, whereas the "acknowledged" alarms show a differnt time. Can you guide me where is the problem? Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	Hi Ganesan, This is indeed a strange problem! Can you explain what exactly is your gateway? Also, what is the version of your WinCC? Can you post a screenshot of WinCC computer properties parameters tab? Can you explain how you are doing the time synchronization in the PLC? Regards

Ganesan Posts: 48 Rating: (1)	Hi, The gateway is a data concentrator, which takes the data from the SIPROTEC relays and sends to the WinCC stations. There are no PLCs in this system. Timesynchronisation of all relays and serversare done on SNTP - from the GPS clock. The relays are configured on IEC 103 protocol, and WinCC reads the data on OPC driver. Regards, Ganesan

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	Hi Ganesan, The incoming alarms, the outgoing alarms and the acknowledged alarms are stored in separate WinCC Alarm Control PDL's. Open the PDL for the acknowledged alarm list and double-click on Alarm Control and check the Time base settings (as shown in attachment). Regards Attachment AlarmControl.pdf (145 Downloads)
