Alarm viewer shows no right value

Dear all,

I'm using Tia Portal V13 Sp1 Upd 5 and to check the process of my system I'm using (on the TP900 Comfort) the alarm viewer function to see some critical values captured in some specific time during the process.

In detail, in alarm view I put in some "alarm bit" the "text list" where in some of those there are one or more variable (HMI tags as real value).

I stored all alarms in one archive (csv file) and when I try to read it using alarm viewer I noted that the raw where is stored the text list the value of the HMI tags is the actual value and not the value stored when the HMI captured it (related trigger goes true).

This historic function is very important for me, without that I can't to understand what happened during the previous working hours of my system.

What can I do to solve my problem?

I remember to did the same thing with WinCC Flex but without find this problem.

As I understand your description you want to log the Alarm Events but there  is nothing stored in the log. Is this right?

In this case perhaps you have forgotten a stept in configuration

Look in the Editor HMI Alarms -> Alarm Classes -> look in the alarmclass you want to store if you have set a Alarm Log in the LOG Column.

If you store the Alarms on an USB Stick or SD Card then Check if the External Storage is correctly readed in the Panel.

What is the acquisition mode of the tag you want to display? And of Index tag?

Is it Cyclisch continuously?

What version of TIA Portal are you using?

many thanks for your quickly reply!

The TP900 panel's creating already the log file (in the sd card) and I programmed one screen to view the related history on this log.

In the text of each alarm you can use variables or text list. In some of alarms, I used text list whit inside variable (PLC tag real value). The problem that I have is that when I see the history in the HMI screen I see for example "Alarm high temperature at 20,5°C" but this is not true. In fact the message is reading the actual value and not the value  that started the alarm message (120°C). If you stay in the alarm view screen, the value 20,5° changes in real time.

How it's possible if the HMI are reading from the CSV file (archive)?

first of all many thanks for your reply!

The tag I want to display in the alarm view is as Aquisitoin Mode "cycle function" (as default value).

The index tag (if I understand what you means) is a real value from PLC address (%DB301.DBD3352) and the Tia Portal version that I'm using is V13 Sp1 upd5.

That is for the Tag (Value) you want to display in Textlist.

And also for the Index Tag, this tag is used to select the right Text in Textlist.

When you have a look in CSV file, I think you only see the "index tag" saved. There is no "Value" of Tag  (Temp) saved?

I changed the acquisition modality to "Cyclic continuously" as your suggestion and I'll write you the result!

I download the CSV file and what I see, for that alarm, many times is value = 0 and few times the right value.

Ok, I tested few minutes ago but the problem remains (after changed the acquisition modality to "Cyclic continuously").

The value of the tag in the alarm view screen is the real value of the tag in that moment. It's doesn't keep the previous value (I means at the moment of the alarm trigger goes true).

What I don't understand is that the alarm view screen reads one archive file (CSV file stern in the SD card) but the value to the tags follow the real value in any time....
