Alarming in TIA v13

I still have some issues and wold like to see a different solution. Especially because I'm not using TIA that much. We are using a different supplier but I hope that we could switch over soon.

The sample project should include both discrete and analog alarm that will be displayed in the HMI.

thanks for the link. I will lookout for your sample program. I'm a bit lost with the alarming in TIA. I normally use controllers from Phoenix Contact and there is it a bit more simple to generate alarms in the SCADA application.

My intentionis to use the S7-1500 CPU's for our emergency generators but there i will need some discret and analog alarms. The programming side isn't the issue for me but the alarming is giving me some gray hair.

your sample program was a great help. I have managed to solve my issue in the same way as in your sample program.

I also believe that it was the better option for my case. I have about 500 valve's to control (open / close). The movement is time controlled to prevent damages to the actuator. A normal movement it taking 15 seconds, to that i have added 3 more sconds, to make sure that the valve has reached the final position. In case it does not reach the position, an alarm is displayed with selfexplaining alarm message and tool tip (location of the valve). If I would use Program_Alarm, I think it would be easy to loose the focus.
