alarms from data block

Insausti Posts: 150 Rating: (2)	i have in a data block all the alarms and events of my process as double word, every bit is one alarm (or event), so my problem is how to configurate in WinCC Alarm Logging every individual message.

Insausti Posts: 150 Rating: (2)	my problem is how to configurate in the WinCC editor Alarm Logging the diferent messages, cause the alarms are in the format DoubleWord, so when i try to select the message tag for one alarm the tags that are DoubleWord dont appear

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	Hi I fear at the moment I don´t get your problem. You can create a new Alarm in WinCC alarmlogging, there you can choose via "properties" which Tag /Bit of Tag are relevant for this alarm? => for a 32-bit Value you should create 32 Alarms! nemo

Insausti Posts: 150 Rating: (2)	My problem is that when i open the tag window selection to connect the message tag for an alarm, the tags that are 32-bit Value dont appear, so i can connect such tags. Do you think it could work the following: In Step7 i have double words with the alarms in a data block DB55DD100 DB55DD104 ...... ..... so, do you think it would work if in WinCC i create external tags with the following adressing DB55DW100 DB55DW102 DB55DW104 DB55DW106 ........ .... and so on ?????

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	Hi it´s no problem to transfer a DD-value in your datablock to WinCC, so I created a DB1.DD1 and then compiled my OS => a 32-value tag was generated in TagManagement and I could choose this tag in AlarmLoggin. note: STRUCTURES in datablocks will not be transfered to WinCCduring compilation, perhaps this is your problem? nemo

JeroenB Posts: 15 Rating: (2)	Hi, I think i've had the same problem once. You should check wether the 32-bit tag in WinCC is a signed or a unsigned 32-bit tag. In the Alarm Logging you can only use unsigned 32-bit tags. So I hope this also works for you. Grts JeroenB

Also worth mentioning that you can use the Linking Wizard in the Alarm Logging Editor to quickly create all 32 alarms (after you've changed the data type of course[:D] ).
