Alarms History TIA PORTAL V13 SP1

Good morning everyone,

This morning a customer asked me for a ALARM HISTORY page. I have seen the Option called "Alarm buffer", is that the correct one? Or I have to follow an other way?

Note: The panel is KTP 400 BASIC PN

yes you are correct ..it is nothing but an alarm buffer..

for basic panels it can have maximum of 128 alarms retentive.

But I have a problem. I When restore an alarm in the historic page I get another time the same alarm. For example, I cross the light curtains, then , I  reset  with the key switch, the standard alarm goes away(from the alarm page), but in the historic(the one i just created with alarm buffer) reappears again when  restore. This happens  with all alarms, why?

Yes you will get it ,

1.the alarm when it comes

2.alarm when it is acknowledged 

3.when the alarm goes.

We cannot hide it since it is the buffer which holds everything that has occured.

But in future siemens can make this as optional to select it will be quiet good ..

Last question , the STATE column. When I got the alarm I read E while I restore EU? Can you explain me also this?

when you have a Basic Panel 2nd Generation (look at the device, if there is a USB Port, then its a 2nd Generation)

With this Device you can also use a Alarm Logging. Here you can edit under the Editor Historical Data.

Here you can create a Log. And you can also view the loggeed Message events in a Alarmview.

But when you have a Basic Panel 1st Generation you can only use the Alarmbuffer.

 When E appears it mean alarm is not yet acknowledged by the user and EU is alarm is acknowledged by the user i.e when u press the acknowledge button in the alarm window

What about alarm logging? How it works?

I'm asking you a lot of things, I know.

1.have you understood configuring an alarm??

2.what is the KTP you are using 1st generation(eg.6AV6 647-0AK11-3AX0) or 2nd generation(eg.6AV2 123-2DB03-0AX0)??pls share the order no

3.If you are using an 1st generation HMI data logging is not possible only alarm buffer possible pls find the attachement

3.if you are using 2nd generation HMI (new HMI launched by siemens recently in ktp series)

you can have data logging and alarm logging.
