Hello... You need to have connections like this->3phase input supply-> fuses / MCB->Line filter ->Choke->ALM it doesn't replace line reactor with filter,please find the explanation if ALM,linefilter,choke. Active Line ModulesThe Active Line Modules generate a regulated DC link voltage and are capable ofregenerative feedback. Line filter:Basic Line Filters can be used in accordance with the following general conditions forensuring CE conformity with regard to cable-borne interference: ● The machine/system must only be used in industrial networks. ● No. of axes ≤12. ● Total cable lengths ≤150 m (motor cables, power supply cable between line filter and LineModule). The Basic Line Filters are only suitable for connection to TN systems; otherwise an isolatingtransformer will be required. Reactor:Line reactors limit line harmonics to permissible values. For this reason, line reactors shouldalways be used. They must be used in conjunction with Active Line Modules as an energystorage feature for the step-up converter function. Hello, For Sinamics S120 multi-axis the AIM has always been required when using the chassis ALM. Now that the AIM is available in booksize format as well it is also required for use of the booksize ALM. The AIM does contain the ALM reactor a clean power filter. A basic line filter can optionally be used to meet Catagory C2. See page from catalog for reference. The voltage sensing module is included with chassis AIM units.
