fantasia Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	I like to know how to wire the AM2 RTD with a 2 wire pt100 attached to M1+ and M1- and a connection between IC1 and M1+. Where do i take off the 0-10V measurement from above for connecting it to I7 of the 0BA7. I connected M1+ to I7 and got an unstable reading of temperatures, and my multimeter says 0.285 V when its 28.5 degrees C. Is this the good connection??? Why is the connection on I7 is not 2,85 V instead of 0.285 V. Like i'm measuring only the pt!00 and no conversion??? I thought that the AM2RTD was converting the signal to a value between 0-10 V! What i dont understand also is that on the second row of my AM2RTD says X11(OUTPUT??) on the left, with 2 connections, and on the right side PE with 2 connections (which i grounded to earth) Are the left side connections for connecting to I7?(0-10V) On photos on internet these 4 connections are marked PE. Where do i think wrong. I hope somebody can help me with this. So i can work on the unstable readings , with an article about damping values etc.... thanx in advance.

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, you mix differnet things. If you connect the PT100 to the AM2 RTD, then in the right AI you can see the temperature x.y. Please observer you must set PT100/1000 in the FB's. The onboard analog inputs act with 0...10V (resolution is 1000 steps). You can connect a PT100 to the onboard inputs also. In this case you must power the PT100 with a voltage and you meassure the signal on the PT100. But a PT100 changes the resitor value in a very small range and the resolution is 10mV. As result you can only have a very small temperature range you can meassure or the reolution is to bad. Check the forum here you can find lots of explanation why a PT100/1000 makes no sense at the onboard analog inputs. Hope this helps
