Hi, I would like to measure ambient air temperature of a warehouse, then send this info to a database and share with colleagues. I am not very familiar working with analogue hardware and values such as 4-20ma due to mainly working with conveyors. They're either on or off for most applications. Please can you assist me with a few queries? [snip] 3. I am using TIA V16, can anyone share a program or information how to scale the values in the PLC? Thanks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi, an example for scaling can be found here: For an S7-1200/S7-1500 controller in STEP 7 (TIA Portal), how do you scale integer values in real numbers and vice versa for analog inputs and outputs? But it depends on which sensor you are using. You can also read temperature with a PT100 (for example). With analog input modules for resistance, the value in channel only needs to be divded by "10" most of the time. More information can be found in datasheet of the used input card in chapter for representation analog values. maybe this helps regards sancruz |
