analog alaram in wincc tia

bhautik Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Good Morning Everyone I am using tp-700 comfort touch panel and wincc tia v11 for programming. I want to have analog alarm for one of my input channel. But when I configure the alarm it asks for an hmi tag and hmi tag bit what is actually that and how to answer this? what happens if we enable report in the alaram section? secondly I want to log the same analog channel data. I have created a historical data named data1 and logging tag by the name of temp_input. but still I am not able to log the data. Also how to give username and password in the first screen in order to login to view the further screens? I am also using f(x) trend display and its working nice. but can the screen of the f(x) display be cleaned by using any button or other provision during runtime? Kindly help me with example if possible as I have a week to solve the problem before my final presentation. I am grateful to everyone present on the forum of Siemens online automation. Thank you

Thank you Hi Bhautik, For analog alarms you should use the analog alarms tab in the HMI alarms menu instead of the discrete alarm tab. I guess u might be creating the alarm tag in discrete alarms rather than in analog alarms. Confirm it thoroughly please. And if you enable reporting,the corresponding alarm message will be logged. For logging the tags check the properties of the Data log created. Check whether you haveassigned the acquisition mode, tags to be logged etc. For login, create a button in the start screen for login and in the properties in security, in the authorisation tab, give the user authorisation which you should create at first.Also in th events of this button give the property of screen change to the next screen. So whenever you click this button it will ask for the password first which you must enter and click it once again so that it will navigate you to the respective screen. Hope this might help you. You can try different ways as well. As far as trends are considered in TIA, i found a lot of limitations in it when compared with Wincc v7.0
