Analog Input FB78 block

Hi experts,

I am using CPU 928B and in my ptoject the block FB78 are using for analog input (see attachment), but i don't understand how this block works because this FB are using in a lot of PB's with the same variables (DR: 23, 24, 25; DW32; DL24; DD: 26, 28).

I'm changing a remote S5 station to S7 and some analog values will be send in S7 and read in S5, but I don't know how to do it because of this FB block

This FB is one of several FBs from a package for a PID control.
The number of the operands (DR23, DR24, DR25 etc.) are always the same, but they come from different data blocks.
This function you can not migrate from S5 to S7, since you have to build something new in S7.

This DL 24 is the variable that "show me" what input is (reference for AI card, e.g. Piw122) and I read in the mannual that DL is Data byte left. How can I see exactly what input is? 

I can not tell you so.
It's been 15 years since the last time I was dealing with this scheme.

If you can upload the S5 project, I would look at it. Perhaps then I can tell you something more.

can you view the status variable online? If yes, you need to know which DB is actually open for reading DL24.

For example: In the online mode select TEST / STATUS VARIABLE and writing

1.line DB10

2.line DL24 (KF format) here you see the value, which represent the address of input analog card

EDIT: If you don´t know address of DB, try generating a program structure including a DB call´s

The value in each DB is like 1, 2, 0, 5... but my analog inputs, in electrical project, is PIW124, PIW126... how can i intepret this? I'm really confuse.

I need more information. How much cards of analog input do you have connecting? How much channels have a card of analog input? Do you know type of analog card?

I looked to your program, it´s very hard to understanding without symbols and comments.

Maybe helps you this manual for your understanding of function. Look to chapter 5-16.

I solve the problem about input channels, I look at new project (the one that will be change) and make a kind of cross reference with the old project.

So, now I have other doubt about how S5 works. I have a PB100 and DB200 that receive values in PB100 but I have not one call DB 200 in logical program. I need to insert another DB (that will receive news values from remote analog input), so for call DB200 DD30 I need to cal this DB or in another point has a config who link DB200 in PB100?
