analog input/flowrate sensor

timtam198 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi i have connected a flowrate sensor which runs on 5V to my LOGO!8 and i realise my LOGO!8 could not pick up the signal as my current of the sensor is too low. For some reason, the current i picked up using a multimeter is only 0.03mA. What should i do for my LOGO!8 to be able to read the sensor and display on my LOGO!* screen. Attached is the program which is running on my LOGO!8. Is there also a way to improve my program to read the flow rate from a normal water tap accurately? Attachment program.jpeg (178 Downloads)

Your sensor outputs a frequency signal as PWM. This can be the analog input of the LOGO! do not evaluate. You have to use a fast counting input. But the voltage level of 5V is too small for that. The fast fast counter input requires at least 8.5 VDC to detect the signal as high. So that he then recognizes low signal again, the voltage must drop to 5 VDC. Which LOGO! do you have exactly? Write down the exact Siemens order number (6ED1 0523-xxxxx-xxxx).
