Analog input measuring problem

olloy Silver Member Joined: 8/27/2010 Last visit: 4/13/2024 Posts: 417 Rating: (37)	Analog input module with only one (first, CH1) channel configured. 6ES7331-1KF01-0AB0 Measuring is for level and are in 4..20 mA range. Scaled in FC105 module, there was normal result and everithing was fine. Scaled result was in range from 0 to 200 santimeters. Then, after fem minutes there was some error, and after it i get from this module strange value: -32768 When everything was ok, there was range between 0 to 26 thousand, unipolar. Without any program or configuration settings change some strange things occur. Where to look the trouble? p.s. module is ok, because i try to change it to another one with same order number.

H-H Platinum Member Joined: 7/2/2008 Last visit: 8/26/2024 Posts: 928 Rating: (308)	Hello olloy, The 1KF01 means you either have a 4-wire transmitter or you have a 2-wire transmitter connected to a power supply as in page 299 (CH5 2DMU)in S7-300 module data manual. The -32768 means an underflow. In other words it means a valueof 0 mA which means no current (Maybe no power supply) or maybe a reverse current. I would suggest to check that transmitter is powered (working). If power supply is healthy and transmitter is working then add an ammeter in series to measure the current value (Double check current direction in circuit). Best regards. H-H
