Hello Everybody,

I'm quite new with all the stuff about automation and i'm facing a trouble with an analog input / output card ( SM 334 : 6ES7 334-0EC01-0AA0), so i have many questions for all experts. My goal is to control the speed of a little motor from lego by sending a value between 0-9v.

During the configuration of my hardware on Simatic Manager, i can't find anything about the fact i want to write from 0-10v or 0-5v. Mistake on my part ?

About the wiring, if i don't miss something i need to connect my V output (A 288 in my case) to the positive input (+9v) and my Mana output to the ground input ?

About the code, i use this one to send a value to the output (if you have some papers for newbie about it, i would be grateful)

I check with a multimeter on the card between V and Mana and i have around 9V so it should be ok but i don't have a light open, should i be worried about that ?

have an other look in the manual I posted above. In chapter 6.16 you find the technical data of your module. In there you find also Information about your analogue output and Actuator selection data on page 504. Check if your lego motor fits this specifications.

Thanks for replying.

I replaced my lego motor by a small light and this one works with the analog card. As you suggest me mopS04, i searched in the lego motor specification and i found that i need at least 150 mA.

I think that the trouble comes from the fact that i don't have enough intensity (mA) on my 9V output from the analog card.

Do you know if i can fix it on the PLC ?

Maybe you could handle this with a transistor or a kind of amplifier.
