If you allow other hardware options than Siemens Logo, then you can use a remote Modbus TCP/IP device, but you at least need a Logo 8.1 (FS4) or a brandnew Logo 8.2 for Modbus. Higher resolution causes a higher price, that's normal and you must think about the Logo arithmetic only calculates with integer values. Search for Adam-6717 on Advantech for example. Maybe you get lower price Modbus remote devices from China, but be careful, you need Modbus TCP/IP, not Modbus RTU. Lower prices often causes instability in 24/7 mode. For a little more money you can get a S7-1200 controller with high resolution analog inputs and a greater program memory. Regards, Scorp |
