Analog module connection to potentiometer

The power supply provides 24 VDC to the module; the expected input voltage range is at max. ±10VDC (depending on the placement of the measurement range module, see below).

As for the different "configs":  shutdown power to your rack, remove the AI module from the rack and look at the right side of the module. You should see one square connector there known as the measurement range module, one per channel group (two adjacent channels form a channel group, channel 0 and 1, in the case of your AI module), with lettering on each side. See the attached picture (not for your exact AI module, unfortunately).

For each channel of your AI module place the letter corresponding to the measurement range you need ("B" for ±10 VDC), or 1-5 VDC...) facing the arrow on the AI module. so you can get an appropriate reading when you connect your potentiometer. Use a small flat screwdriver head to remove it from its position and turn it to insert it properly.
