Analog Module SM331

dontxbotherxme Posts: 20 Rating: (0)	Am a bit new to the working/functionality of the analog processing modules. One on of my machine, a potentiometer of 570 ohm is installed for the speed variation. The SM used is 6es7331-7kf02-0ab0, AI8X12 bit. Measuring type is set as R-4L and measuring range is set as 600 Ohm for this channel. I want to replace this potentiometer with a different potentiometer having maximum resistance of 10k Ohm. What should i change to acheive this? 1. Do i need to change the analog module? 2. Do i need to change the scaling value? Currently the scaling value set in program is: Hi_Limit: 17550, Lo_Limit: 0 Can you kindly guide me on above. Thanks. Attached is the picture for potentiometer. Put a resistor of 10 K in series with the potmeter, +24V at the resistor, 0V at other end of potmeter, slider to analog input. Change the upperlimit to 27648. Hi set the value in hardware 0-10v (configure) by right clicking on module properties call the function FC105 analog scaling block in your working program

Kindly correct me if i am wrong: I can use potentiometer of any value (600 ohm / 10k ohm) and connect it in series with a 10k resistance. I change the input type for the respective channel. After this I also change the scaling value and I am set to go with my new settings. Thanks a lot for your support
