Im using an CP5611 and using mpi setting Where i'm jam is that i need to use a SAPI S7 Database but in the XP version I can't find the tab to chose my database to use! J_Bell Hello, actually, you still can use SAPI S7 just as you know it but you will have to recreate your Connection configuration with STEP7 or NCM PC, as you have it installed on your PC. Sadly the LDB File is no longer supported. To do so you should read the following FAQ: How do you configure an S7 connection for a user application via Industrial Ethernet with the SIMATIC NET PC software? Don't worry if there is written Industrial Ethernet, it is the same with PROFIBUS just PROFIBUS Addresses instead of IP or MAC Addresses. Or try this one for MPI... just like PROFIBUS: How do you configure an S7 connection via MPI with the SIMATIC NET OPC server and the SIMATIC NET PC software? I hope this way you will get it done. Best regards J_Bell Our situation is similar, nowdays that new PCs don't suppport device drivers for windows 2000, we have to move an application to win xp, it is developed usein Progea Movicon 9.1 and a ldb file was created using COML S7. When no ldb is loaded on PG/PC interface (back in win 2k), the movicon application launch a SAPIS7OPT.DLL error, I already followed the steps on the pdf "Guide_S7_IE_Appl_e.pdf". Butthis message stills apears. How can I verify the correct communication to the S7 400? Should we change to another versión of HMI software?
