In order for the final client to operate the machine I have to give him the acces password to the plc webserver. But this means that the program inside plc is no longer protected; he can also download the project, so no know-how protection is provided. Is there an alternative to this? Thank you.

The PLC compare the information read by the Web page and set (or not) a enable bit. Asking the logical state of the enable bit, the Web page could enable (or not) the access to other pages (or functions in buttons).

With no login I can only read PLC values. About your ideea with some coded numeric to show or hide further buttons, should I not write in the first place these coded passwords to PLC ? Thank you.

You are rigth in your interpretation: in my suggestion theuser / passwords should be stored in the PLC toperform the check.
