Arabic language support in TP277

The charecters are in right order now, but in Arabic language, letters of the same word must be connected. I don't know how to explain, but a letter in Arabic can have two shapes: single and connected. Hello, Let me explain it for all our friends here, For example SIEMENS in English should be written in arabic in this way (connected letters): سيمنس But actually you have it in single letters like this way س ي م ن س In any case, If I remember well, I have mad this on an old project with Protool V6.2 + MP370. I will revice and return back to you again.

After checking System dictionary, I did not found Arabic Language. So please create a new user dictionary. and select English + Arabic languages. In this dictionary type the words you have in the project and its translations. Go to Project text in the left hand side navigation, and type the words you have in the project and its translations. Create a button to switch between languages. It will work as per attached screen shots. Hope this helps. Attachment Language.zip (673 Downloads)

Dear manmeet, Here's bellow the first post: AMAZINGAHMED Hi, I have a project where the customer needs the HMI on TP277 to be in Arabic language. The problem is that Arabic is written from right to left. I have added Arabic in project language settings and translated the project texts into arabic, but in runtime, the characters appear in reversed order. I think that this HMI panel runs WinCE. Is there any language package that I can add to the panel to solve this problem??? There is a trick here as I mentioned in my last post. The trick is to make a user dictionary with Arabic + English languages and also make the same table in Project text. Without making project text, it will not work. AMAZINGAHMED That solved the problem. Thanks Ayman. Thanks for feedback.

I think you have to change font type from Tahoma for Arabic Language. Peculiarities in online languages: Should you wish to use a language which is not supported as standard by Windows, you must first incorporate this into Windows, as described inProject languages. It can then be selected in WinCC flexible. If, for example, you select Arabic or another of the fonts which are written from right to left, it is important to note that the standard font "Tahoma" cannot be retained for the PC. As described in Fig. 04, the "configured font family 0" (1) must be converted first to a language-dependent font, such as "Simplified Arabic Fixed". You then have to select this font as the "standard font" (2). Hope this helps.

It works at Flex runtime & PC IL 77 12" but not at HMI MP277 10'' so I think that if there is Win XP it works and if there is Win CE it doesn't work I have tried it on MP277 10" and it worked well. Check your "Project Texts" and make sure that there is a column for "Arabic" language. Note: I used "Arabic (Saudia Arabia)"

AmirAlwaled Posts: 148 Rating: (14)	You have to use "Character Map" to enter your text reversed at " Unicode characters " . or simply use the attached C# program to convert from arabic ANSI code to reversed arabic Unicode . Now the problem was solved IF you want to understand the how check this : Arabic Support for Windows CE
