AS-I installed on a plant

Automation_Systems Posts: 58 Rating: (0)	Hi everybody, can you help me? I have to relocate a cabinet to another position, i think 15 meters from his actual position. The problems that i have is that the AS-I cable (in fact i have to cables that go out from the cabinet), that is coming out frorm the cabinet is not going to be the enough ammount of cable for relocate the cabinet. There is a way to add to the actual cable the ammount of cablemeters necessary for relocate the cabinet?? how can i do that?? Thanks for your help

playerslight Posts: 1064 Rating: (72)	You can use 2 distributors part # 3rk1-901-1nn00 if you are using as-i flat cable but keep in mind that you have to stay under 100 meters in length if it's over 100 meters in length total for the whole bus then you will need to install a as-i repeater or extender see the following manual for more information http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/26250840
