Clarification only, correct me if im wrong or any additional info will be very much appreciated. I have here AS-i power supply 8A 3RX9 503-0BA00 1. What is the use of AS-i switched(terminal 10 and 20)? is this the terminal where i will connect my AS-i (+) as-i cable so that when there is ground fault, the AS-i voltage will be switched off? and can be restored only if a reset applied using termninal 41 and 42? 2. Can i used this 1 power supply for 2 network (2 CP342-2P ASi- master)? for example...terminal 11 & 12 for the first AS-i master and terminal 21 & 22 for the second AS-i master? (or if i will used AS-i swtiched i will used 10&12 and 20&22 respectively) AS-i manual |

Hello, 1) Have a look to chapter 7.1 of the system manual: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/26250840 You will see that the AS-i switched output is the one that is interrupted in the case of ground fault. 2) The terminals 10/20 and 11/21 and 12/22 are bridged. You do not have two power suppies in one box. The AS-i master controls data exchange with the connected nodes by means of cyclic polling. You can never put two ASi Master on the same bus. They are not coordinated with eachother. You have two CPs, you have two busses, you will need two supplies. |
