ASi Hardware Configuration Download - Upload Difference

I have downloaded theASInterfaceHardwareConfiguration to PLC S7-400. The process that I did before downloading the configuration is to configure the AS-i slave which havebeen addressedinto the AS-i master (2 line in 1 master). After that I also make configuration Hardware AS-i master and the entire AS-i slave via the Simatic Manager. Digital address of each slave address has also been modified and adapted for programming the PLC. Then the Hardware Configuration of the Simatic Managerdownloaded to the PLC. After that I tried to upload a new Hardware Configurationwhich I justdownloaded. It turned out that the digital address of the PLCdid not match the address at the time of the download. During the trial test to the hardware, the system is running in accordance with the correct address when the hardware configuration download. But when I do the Adopt Actual Desired AS-i master (because there are still indicators of System Fault due to the slave who has not been installed but has already registered on the Hardware configuration for the spare), a system error, because it addresses the Digital address following the address wrong during the hardware configuration uploads. My questionsis: 1. Why the digital address is not same between theupload digital configuration addressand the downloaded hardaware configuration? 2. Why when I didActual Adopt Actual Desired in the ASiMaster, a digital system to follow the wrong address upload results, whereas if left in a condition Fault System (Without doing the Adopt Actual Desired), Digital systems follow the correct address at the Hardware Configuration downloaded ?

edsel lin Experienced Member Joined: 5/17/2010 Last visit: 2/21/2022 Posts: 80 Rating: (1)	Hi J_Bell, For the AS-i Master we use the Siemens DP / ASI Advanced Link 6GK1 415-2BA20, with S7-400 CPU as DP Master it. Communications S7-400 → AS-I Master using Profibus. Details can be seen in the picture "hw config all". We change the address on the ASI master. After doing the "Change Address" at ASI master, each slave is recognized by the ASi Master as its slaves. Some of the valve configured are not connected to the valves. These configuration are proposed for future valve connection. So because of the actual and the configuration is not same, the indication SF (System Fault) and CER (Configuration Error) are lid on the ASi Master. To eliminate the alarm, we use the "Adopt Actual-Desired" at the ASi Master. But afterwise, the configuration become different. For example when we turn on the digital output on output slave 1A, it will turn on the output slave 3A at the same line. I don't know what happen, because previously when we tried it at office it works fine. Please advise. Thanks. Attachment hw config all.jpg (446 Downloads)

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well, I guess you have this problem then: Limiting Conditions of Use of the STEP7 Object Manager for DP/AS-Interface Link Advanced (6GK1 415-2BA10 and -2BA20). to solve this I would strongly recommend to use this Update for your STEP7 version: Service Pack 5 for STEP 7 V5.4 and STEP 7 Professional Edition 2006 I hope this will solve your issue.
