ask about FB211

Rizal Dwi Listio Posts: 77 Rating: (0)	Dear all, What does it mean, if i open FB then STEP5 show text "BLOCK OUTPUT NOT PERMITTED (PRODUCT NO.)" That FB is FB211, and when i printed it out to file (_____LS.INI), i can't found FB211. FB211 is not standar function block right? What does that text mean? I used CPU 948B. thank you

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, is it possible that you use PMC to connect to WinCC with this S5? If so it might be that the FB is a protected block that prevents you from viewing, printing or editing the block. Best regards J_Bell

Rizal Dwi Listio Posts: 77 Rating: (0)	PMC?? what is that? the PLC not connected to WINCC. It connect to OP30 Gracis. My client want to migrate OP30 to OP270, but my Senior said that i have to understand the S5 program first. Then when i learning the program and open FB211, my STEP5 displayed that text. I'm affraid that FB211 contained important program that i have to edit. Or i just ignore it? do you know anything about OP30 Gracis? can i upload the program in OP30 Gracis? what software i have to used? Thank you for your attention.

Gracis is cancelled alreadyyears ago: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/4214986 I guess that FB211 was part of the standard blocs used to communicate with the OP.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, if the FB is part of Gracis than you can not change anything within this block and you don't have to because the data will be transferred in a different way to the OP 270 than to the old OP 30. The FB seems to be a interface to Gracis, so don't care about it. Best regards J_Bell
