Hello The Password field in this mask will always be empty (but It should be stored), its a system behaviour so that you cannot see if a PW is set or not. Please check all the hints in this FAQ: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/92346478 Bye Murof |

Hi Murof, Thanks for the reply on my post. It turns out that if you update the password (or username) in that field then you have to Factory Reset the panel. A note in section 3.5 from Siemens in their doc Integrating HMI Operator Panels in TCP/IP Networks states: General information on logon data • The default names and passwords cannot be subsequently edited. • The stored logon data cannot be called. • To delete the stored logon data, the panel has to be reset to factory settings. For more information, please refer to entry ID: 19701610 I have 32 of these panels with password changes all the time!!! |
