Automatic data output through DNC ??

Adamastor77 Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hello, Our NC machine is connected to our network through a DNC. I don't know which one exactly..., I don't even know if this comes from Siemens or from another company (see pic). I am currently trying to gather information from our machine-tool reseller about this. We make some probe measurements at the end of the machining of our parts and create for each part a measurement log file with the help of "Write" function.Those files are storedas MPF on the NC. Then we transfer them to our network through our DNC. What we would like to achieve is to automatically send those log files to some location on our network. When I mean automatically, I mean " the NC program does it", instead of saving them on the NC machine. Let me ask it in another way: Does anyone here output any data (MPF, values of R parameters, etc.) out of the NC automatically from a MPF running ? If yes: - Which command is used in the program toachieve that ? - Is there a special extra software running on the NC for that ? - Through which output do you get out those data ? (COM, ethernet, etc.) Thank you in advance Luis

Ekalavya The DNC Machine software option mentioned in the PDF is already available on our Siemens 840D. However, the PDF doesn't seem to contain any information on how to unload a file from the NC to the PC from within an MPF program? Any further help would be greatly appreciated.
