Axis move withou command in 840Di

When we give negative JoG command for X axis (Table) ,Table moves and stop the coomand the table moves to positive direction automatically.It happens without giving any command and its position doesn't change in HMI.It happen in some area of table. The problem isn't cause of INDRAMAT drive because , we changed it. ADI4 doesn't have problem because we check setpoint form ADI4 when Table moves. Table(Axis X) have ruler form Heidenhain company (LS 403). We open ruler and service it but problem doesn't fix. How we can be sure that the exact problem? Thanks.

When automatic table(Axis x) moves (without recieving any command) i measured setpoint voltage on the drive , it was zero (0) volt. As i said table moves to positive direction at speecial area (From -200mm to 500mm) without recieving any command and it's remarkable that table position in HMI doesn't change and after from that position it gives fault (25040 : Axis X standstill monitoring). Unfortunately we don't have any spare from ruler(LS 403) for change it. Thanks a lot.

OvidiuNastac Silver Member Joined: 1/29/2008 Last visit: 7/26/2022 Posts: 419 Rating: (19)	Hi You can check the position of the axis and what is happening when the axis is moving in Diagnosis->Service->Service axes at Actual encoder value (measure system 2) and also you must check the preset value of the axis and see if it changes. If this is happening in some area it is likely probable that a mechanical issue is in that area (i.e. the axis is moving hardly due to seized guideways). So, you must check the guideways. Another reason for this kind of movement is a large position gain in an guideway area where due to the guideway weariness, the axis is moving very easy. You must try to move the axis in that area where the movement appear and try to reduce the velocity gain and/or the position gain and see if it's better. If yes you must repair the guideway and after that you must optimize again the axis. Good luck Nit
