I am using one HMI TP1200 Comfort.

I would like to know if I can download the HMI software to a SD Card and thereafter use this backup created in the SD Card to transfer to another HMI, or even open and edit this backup software.

Perhaps the following topic might help:

How do you backup/restore with a Comfort Panel?

1-It is not possible to open and process the backup file with WinCC (TIA Portal).

The file can only be downloaded to the original or another panel of the same type with a restore procedure.

2-You should have the configuration file if you want to open or edit the program.
