Bad XML file [hspcontents.xml]

qucior Regular Member Joined: 8/12/2008 Last visit: 3/10/2022 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi all I have dowloaded STEP7_HSPs.zip with upgrade files and I tried install these updates, but every time when I tried open the hspcontents.xml file, I got the message "Bad XML file [hspcontents.xml]" . Did anyone get this problem before ? My software: STEP 7 v5.4 SP3.1 +H1

That problem seems to be more complicated. I tried change few settings in s7hspinx.ini file as well, with no luck. I tired modify hspcontents.xml, with no luck. I need to take a look at system register, maybe there I can find something. Anyway, thanks for all answers. I'll be still looking.

I tried install step7 in different location: "C:\siemens\step7" , with no luck. So, I am almost sure, that there is something wrong in windows system registry. Last solution would be system reinstalation . Best reagards.

The funny thing was, that I was getting that message ( Bad XML file [hspcontents.xml]) even, when name of that file was different, like hspcontents2.xml XML file is Extensible Markup Language file so maybe there was some conflict between STEP7 and other application Thanks for all your help.
