I cannot think of the elegant way I would want to do it... By loading a EAN128 FONT into an HMI, and then use that font to display bar-code data. However, you can simulate this behavior using IMAGES taken from screen grabs from your PC after installing an EAN128 barcode font. Then name each of the images that represent parts of the EAN128 bar code and then display the images side by side with no space and fixed width. This web page ( http://www.keyence.com/ss/products/auto_id/barcode_lecture/basic/code128/ )seems to contradict your post's example barcode data. Please look at it and post a reply. I suggest a more advanced HMI so you can load a custom font to handle the bar code so you can just point the bar code at your string tag within the db, and it then displays the correct bar code for that string.

I have loaded a code128 font into the HMI. Do you know if it is just enough to calculate the string, and then just put it up on the screen in code128-font? |
