Hi Imele, First of all you have to check the Barcode reader how it communicate. Normally it is a RS232 signal, you need the start-, data-, stop- and parity bits. A barcode reader is normally only input to the CP340 (receiving data). If the earlier bits and baudrate are checked and fill in then projectdata in the hardware configuration in STEP7, the only thing then you have to do is receiving the data. Maybe you can get some information from this FAQ for the idea; Connecting a Scanner / Barcode Reader to the Integrated PtP Interface on the CPU S7-31xC http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/18274843 The difference is that the port is working different as a CP340, the other parts are all the same (wiring etc...), [:o] Wenn you need the handbook for the CP340 please look at the next link; PtP coupling and configuration of CP 340 http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1137332 The programming software with STEP7 is to find in the next FAQ, wenn this is installed there are also some examples installed in STEP7, you may find these in the examples of STEP7, open a project and switch then to the sample-projects; [;)] Download CD "CP340, CP341, CP440, CP441", Version: V5.1+SP6 http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/22637279 For some details on the ASCII data thats coming in; Data transfer with ASCII drivers via S7-300/400 communications modules http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/6894849 Good luck with the programming [8)] |
