I have worked[troubleshooting] with 115U controller with Position controller My doubt is, Is S5 contoller having Both RAM and ROM.? My doubt came while i have discussed with one S5 Programmer.He suggested that 115U controller having only either RAM or ROM. If EPROM present you cant able to upload and download the progrm !!! In One machine with S5-115U with position controller, I have uploaded program and edited program and dowloaded to the controller,also, after removing the battery, the OEM PLC program have copied to the RAM[while i am uploading program, old BU without modification i am getting]. If controller with either EROM or RAM is present, how it is happening..? Please give me a brief idea about architecture and hardware and software working in S5 controllers. Thanks&Regards, Raj
