Hi,

I was just about to setup my basic panel for vnc, and was surprised to find that this is not included as standard in these panels. talked to my sales rep. he did not even understand what i meant with vnc. Apparently Siemens call this smartserver.

I've used several different  hmi's comparable to the basic siemens panel that have all vnc  included, After buying that separate license, siemens is more expensive than others i've used. Keep up with the competition siemens...

What's strange is i searched through the manual for the basic hmi and there was not a single mention of smartserver in there. Had to search the forum to find out i needed to purchase a separate license for this.

I'm still confused about how to go about adding this functionality, is there a Guide explaining this?

This ought to be referenced in the hmi manual though...(i did not find any reference looking in the hmi manual)
