Basic PS307 question

Hi everyone,

I have a very simple and basic doubt.  In the datasheet of PS307, 5A and 10A Power Supplies, The Rated input current value is 1.3A and 1.8A respectively at 230VAC.

However, in Manual, Siemens recommends to use MCB of rating 10A for each.  My doubt is, if it is a SMPS, then why do we need to connect 10A of MCB in the Mains Line? A simple 3A MCB will do the same job. Isn't it?
